With technological invention and innovation, mankind has pulled itself from the mud huts of nut and berry gatherers through the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages, the Industrial Revolution, and into what has been called the Atomic Age, Electronic Age, Computer Age, the Second Industrial Revolution, the Third Industrial Revolution, etc. So both invention and innovation are important weapons attaining freedom from nature, and are the important symbols of mankind's civilization and progress.
