The infinite series is defined as a sequence written in a particular way. Theorems are given on the con vergency and use of infinite series sufficient to develop the exponential, binomial, and logarithmic series.
The theory of irrational numbers given in Chapter I has been adopted by Professor Fine, as stated else where (p. Perhaps I may be permitted to add that I did not see Professor Fine s book until after my manuscript was in the hands of the printer.
