Jack, Summers Melville, representative, was born in Suminersmlle, Pa July 18. 1852; son of Lowry and Cornelia (baldwin) Jack. He was educated at the Indiana normal school. Pa.; studied law with Silas M. Clark, of Indiana. Pa., and was admitted to the bar in 1879. He was dis triot attorney of Indiana county, 1884 - 90 a trus tee of Indiana normal school, 1886 - 1900, and a Republican representative from the twenty-first district in the 56th and 57th congresses, 1899 - 1903.
