In Gen. Iii. 15 we read, And [will put. Enmity between thee [the serpent] and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it [not they] shall bruise thy head; and thou shalt bruise his' heel. To Know what we are to understand by the serpent and the seed of the woman here, see John V111.44.I John iii. 8. Rev. Xii. 9 Gal. Iii. 16. Tel bruise one' s heel is merely to do him an in~ jury, as Satan is now injuring the Savior.
