Excerpt from A Study of the Current Transformer With Particular Reference to Iron Loss: Dissertation Submitted to the Board of University Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Conformity With the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy
In a theoretically perfect current transformer the currents would have a ratio equal to the inverse ratio of turns, and the secondary current would be exactly in phase With the primary current. This ideal condition is shown in figure 1, where n_is the ratio of turns, and l_ and 2' are the primary and secondary currents respectively.

Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the relationship between the core losses and ratio of variation of current transformers, providing a theoretical framework for the behavior of current transformers. The author delves into the theory of ratio and phase angle curves, providing a mathematical analysis and experimental evidence from transformer testing. The text also uncovers a unique relationship between the ratio of transformers and core loss exponents. The author argues that understanding this relationship can improve the design and performance of transformers. This book will appeal to engineers and researchers interested in the design and application of current transformers and the theoretical underpinnings of their behavior. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
