He prevents the artifices of his enemies to ruin him 3 his letters to the queen-regent for this purpofe, in which he jultifies his condoa, and his sdminiflration the queen's anfwers. He gives a general account of his public and private condua; of his wealth; and of his domefiic affairs: his faithful performances of the pro nifes he made to Henry IV.
