The reporters having now completed the First Volume of this Work, are anxious to express their gratitude to all those by whom they have been kindly encouraged and assisted in its pro scontion. In this acknowledgment they have the satisfaction to include every individual of the Court in which they have been em ployed, particularly the illustrious person who presided on its bench during the period in which the following cases were decided.
