Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book presents findings from a commission established to study the feasibility of early education programs in North Carolina. The Early Educational Program Study Commission was tasked with assessing the benefits, need, and potential models for such programs. The commission heard from various experts, including child development specialists, educators, and policymakers. Their research centered on examining the positive impacts of early education on children's intellectual and social development, as well as the potential benefits for society as a whole, such as increased employment and reduced crime rates. The findings emphasize the importance of high-quality early education programs and highlight the need for funding and collaboration between public and private sectors to ensure access for all children. The book concludes with a bill proposed by the commission to establish 32 pilot pre-kindergarten centers to test different delivery models and evaluate their effectiveness. These insights contribute to the ongoing discussion on the critical role of early education in shaping children's futures and the significance of investing in their early development.
