Excerpt from Computer Reduction of Precipitation Data
This publication describes a computer program developed to enable the ibm 1620 computer to perform all the calculations required in reducing the precipitation data. The program is basically the same as that developed by Comer,2 with some additions and refinements incorporated in the new pro gram. Although the program described herein was written for the ibm 1620 computer, the methods and principles used could be employed to develop similar programs for other computers.
