Excerpt from A System of Dissections, Explaining the Anatomy of the Human Body, Vol. 1: With the Manner of Displaying the Parts, the Distinguishing the Natural From the Diseased Appearances, and Pointing Out to the Student the Objects Most Worthy of Attention: During a Course of Dissections

These details, though in themselves disagreeable and tedious, are absolutely necessary and no one who aims at useful knowledge, will acquiesce in gene ral views, without endeavouring to follow up and complete the investigation, by stluiying the details from which they ought to follow, as legitimate conclusions.
