After serving in the Royal Navy, where he was able to race offshore extensively, Basil Mosenthal becamea partner in one of the first yacht delivery firms in the USA, and aftermany thousands of miles sailing became a consultant in the managementof large yachts. Now retired, he is involved with editing and writingyachting books, of which the bestselling Learn to Navigate and Learning to Sail are published by Adlard Coles Nautical.
