Riassunto

Author Creates Fictional Scenario for Global Firestorm The time to avert ecological disaster is running out, and one scientist and an alien race may be all that can prevent imminent disaster. You're invited into a world on the brink in this action-packed science fiction thriller Atmospheric carbon dioxide increased 25%, during the twentieth century, causing the oceans to warm one degree, resulting in catastrophic hurricanes, followed by bureaucratic mayhem. With increases in atmospheric oxygen of as little as 4% during the twenty-first century, the world risks a global disaster. Alexander Petrov is an inventor turned CEO in the mid twenty 21st century. His amazing inventions eventually lead him to the discovery of an alien race known as Andromedans who are living on earth as scientists and geneticists. These alien visitors are growing increasingly concerned about the ecological future of their planet, and their studies show a grim future. Through politics and petty business trickery, his cousin, Stefano, covertly sells Alexander's inventions to NASA. Unresolved family issues have caused a rift between the two cousins, and Alexander's success has made the bitterness grow even deeper in Stefano. Combining raw intelligence, aggressive tactics and risk taking, Alexander tries to cope with his adversaries. Meanwhile, as the conflict between the two cousins swells, the Andromedan Federation, realizing the global significance of the growing battle, seizes the opportunity to colonize the Earth in an attempt to prevent the ensuing mayhem and impending calamity. A fast-paced, riveting ecological thriller, A Split Second to Midnight, uses vivid imagery and scientific speculation to race toward an exciting climax.

L'autore

He claims his weakness is a vivid imagination which is also his strength compelling Joe to be a tireless story teller. In addition to this book, there are other writing projects under development. He believes that science fiction is the most difficult genre, because SciFi writers must be cognizant of cause and effect in their created domains, causing this work to become the endless editing labor of love. His undergrad degree is in psychology with many iterations of technolog to follow; first, 1970's Software Engineer, RCA Computer Corp, then IBM Mainframe Systems Sofware Sales; then, 1980's National Account Manager for RCA Global Communications; finally, 1990's to the present an independent internetworking consultant, forming his own business in 1995.
