JoAn Field was born Joann Etta Sonstegard in a small town called Brooten, Minnesota. She had always had a desire to write. She has had poetry and short stories published over the years. JoAn left her home town to pursue a nursing career. She graduated from college in 1957. Following college, she traveled in Europe and visited many of the French, German, and Spanish Castles to be seen there. Always enticed by the magical stories of the fairy tale castles, she dreamed of writing about them. However, writing was "put on hold" to raise her family. Now, as a grandmother of 3 beautiful granddaughters and a great grandson...she decided to fulfill her dream. She hopes you will want to read this tale of magic and hope to your little girls, and all the little girls who dream of castles in the air...will want to read also.
