Riassunto

Three passengers, traveling separately, fly to Hawaii lacking the excitement felt by the others onboard. Each is struggling with a problem that threatens the fabric of their life. The main characters of Eve's Rib are about to become your friends as you turn the pages of this novel. Like any friend, you'll see their strengths and their weaknesses. You'll want to help them make the difficult decisions they face. As you laugh and cry, at times grieve for them, you will realize that you understand them, and care. Who are they? Timid Philadelphian Glynnis Paxton seems destined to a colorless future after the death of both parents. But her life is about to take on unexpected changes she could never have imagined. Allison Bradley, resourceful and lively Alaskan, sees that her happy marriage has suddenly plunged into disarray. She is taking time alone to find a way to repair the damage. Startled at how easily her happy life went awry, she will do what she does best, rally her rugged spirit in an effort to alter the direction her life is heading. Susan Michaels, talented and self-reliant San Francisco lawyer, is exhausted. Saddened when marriage plans collapse, and weakened by the stress of work, she feels helpless to control her life, and seeks rest and peace in the Islands she knows so well. Instead, a bombshell is thrown into her shaky life, and through the following days of confusion and torment, she struggles to find the key that will bring her world into harmony. Strong bonds of trust and friendship grow when the three are thrown together by unexpected and dramatic events. Through ten days, despite unusual and sometimes grim challenges, each works to resolve her problem. Through a fascinating, fast-paced chain of events, their lives are changed and strengthened by the synergy that develops between t
