L'autore

Kiseler R. Brumfield was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 13, 1976. Starting at five months old she was raised by her father's relatives, a 14 year-old cousin and 61 year-old great-grandmother. Kiseler's parents were never married. She was never close to either of them. Although she was being raised by her father's relatives, she still had no relationship with her father. Her great-grandfather was her father figure at the time. Kiseler always thought of her great-grandmother as her mother, so eventually she began calling her "Mommy". When her great-grandmother died, she went to live with her cousin. By now her cousin had three children of her own; but because Kiseler and those kids were more like sisters and brothers, she didn't want to be with anyone else. They had all grown really close. While in high school, Kiseler developed a love for reading and essay writing. Therefore, she took a creative writing course in high school to further develop her writing skills. She went on to college, but eventually had to drop out because of financial problems. Her Federal Pell Grant and Student Loan was not enough to cover all of her expenses, and her family couldn't afford to send her money. So, eventually Kiseler had to move back home, get a job, and try and save money to go back to school. In the meantime, Kiseler has had her share of heartbreaks and disappointments, which is why she chose to begin writing. Relational issues have always been a favorite topic for her to write on. She used to keep a daily journal in which she'd write her thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and poems of other people's relationships as well as her own. Kiseler still enjoys writing and has gone back to college.
