In this concise analysis of the Ras Tafari movement's most foundational beliefs, Clinton Chisholm provides shocking perspectives on the origins of the movement, the misconceptions concerning Emperor Haile Selassie's names and titles and alleged connections with King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The book closes with appendices in which Chisholm tackles the views of Professor Rex Nettleford and the late Barbadian 'Dread' Dr. Ikael Tafari.

Rev. Dr. Clinton A. Chisholm has been researching the truth claims of the Ras Tafari movement since 1970 and in 1990 he published an audio book Rastafarianism Evaluated. He has been in live, televised and other recorded discussion sessions with noted Caribbean Rastafari brethren such as Mutabaruka, Bunny Wailer, Dr. Ikael Tafari, Dr. Leahcim Semaj and Miguel Lorne. He served as consulting editor far the 1998 book Chanting Down Babylon: The Rastafari Reader. The Rev. Mr. Chisholm studied at the Jamaica School of Music, the Jamaica Theological Seminary, the University of the West Indies, the University of Sheffield (England), the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism & Human Rights (France) and Biola University (U.S.A), He holds two Masters Degrees, an honourary D.D and is a Fellow of the International Academy. He and his wife Flora now live in St. Cloud, Central Florida U.SA. They have two adult children Antoinette (Lashley) and Samuel.
