Sinossi

Have you heard of or fallen in love with Japanese haiku poetry? Well, you?ll be amazed how much you?ll be attracted to the most popular style of Vietnamese poetry known as ?Lucbat? due to its versatility, rhythm, and rhyme. It was born as folksongs for peasants to sing while working in rice paddies but it can be read as a poem. No doubt, it has been in existence throughout the 4000-plus-year history of Vietnam and to this day it has remained the most popular poetry style of the country. For the first time it is now formally introduced to the world in English. Needless to say, it is a must-have book for anybody who wants to study Vietnamese culture or enjoy a new way of writing English poetry a la Vietnamese lucbat style.
