This book offers a comprehensive guide to the international policies developed to stop rape, together with case studies on their effectiveness in practice. Engaging with the legal and criminal justice systems, health services, specialized services for victim-survivors, educational and cultural outreach, and more, it brings together both theory and real-world evidence to build a thorough picture of worldwide efforts to fight rape in all its contexts.

"An exceptional analysis of the research and policies of rape prevention in an international context. Informed by a critical political economy of gender inequality, it is essential reading for anyone wanting to understand global gendered violence." --Larry Ray, Professor of Sociology, University of Kent, UK
"This book is a landmark. Filled to the brim with critical assessments and clear descriptions of the very best practices for stopping rape, it has the bonus of a complex theoretical understanding of what is needed to finally stop rape." --Mieke Verloo, Radboud University, the Netherlands
