D. Rolark is a Gospel Jazz multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and poet, whose gift of music and poetry has reached individuals on many levels. Known affectionately as "Minister of Music & Literature", D. Rolark's poems have offered encouragement, hope and inspiration. Nationally, individuals have expressed their gratitude and sincerity for the words that have been offered by him based upon the poems sent to them; whether online or through cards and gifts. This collection of poems, Words of The Word (And Encouragement), are based on the teachings of the Word of God and words of hope, eloquently expressed in a poetic manner. D. Rolark was born in Chicago, IL. His gift of music has placed him among artists that are locally based (as well as the Midwest). He is the keyboardist and musical director of Da Fella's Band. D. Rolark is also an artist with 13 CD's locally distributed on his own label, SpectraMusic Entertainment. His CD's are based in Gospel Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Neo-Soul, Holiday, and Neo-Classical; which all have recently won him accolades for "Combined Multiple Sales". His gift of poetry started at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale as a member of an alumni association. His poem, "I Know Who I Am", (included in this book) has won many awards. Poetry has progressed in his later years when he was called to minister the Word of God through poetry. D. Rolark is a graduate of Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. D. Rolark faithfully lives Romans 10:17 which states that "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." (New King James Version). He credits God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and his wife Dawn (whom he calls his "Ebony Angel") for the inspiration of poetry. D Rolark's mission is to inspire souls and offer encouragement through music and poetry; his two gifts blessed upon him by the Lord. Words of The Word (And Encouragement) is the first of many inspirational poet
