Sinossi

The struggle between good and evil has haunted mankind since its very existence. Temptation has created a conflict in man since Eve enticed Adam to bite into the apple in the Garden of Eden. The encounters between Christ and Satan are well documented through the written scriptures and can be traced back centuries. Throughout the centuries we have experienced horrific events that resulted from the constant struggle between good and evil for the domination of mankind. In each of these cases we have seen tremendous losses to both sides and, yet, we tolerate the coexistence of both forces and suffer the same negative consequences time and time again. So it came to be that Christ and Satan forged a pact to end this madness with the winner eliminating the other forever! The presence of the loser - either good or evil - would be completely wiped away and mankind, who had so many opportunities to determine their own fate, would incur the consequences. Their return to earth will lead each in separate directions in using their specific powers to be the victor! Jesus will cross paths with a couple in dire need of restoring their faith in god after a horrific encounter between their son and a mad man; a man who persevered through the devastating events of his childhood; an old man that personally challenges Jesus on the loss of his beloved wife and a minister that comes face to face with death and survives. Satan's path follows one of total destruction. He chooses to instill enough terror into everyone that they will turn to him in fear of what will happen to them should Jesus lose. Along the way he creates horrific events that will inflict thousands with a disease not seen in hundreds of years; destroys a national treasure; cold bloodily murders a world leader and utilizes the existing forces of evil to spread the word that he is walking among us. The Struggle is a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Chapter One

The decision

Mankind had struggled for centuries with the forces of good and evil pulling at them in an endless tug of war. The same unending conflict would continue for centuries unless there was finally an intervention by the two supreme leaders of these two, powerful, yet so different forces. It was with such an intervention that each decided to return to earth for one final showdown that would decide the fate of man. The eternal struggle for the domination of mankind would be decided in the ultimate challenge between these rivals.

In was obvious that mankind was ill prepared or decisive enough to be able to choose between the two forces. Based on historical events it was insane to think that man could gain some common ground in ending this struggle. The constant daily battles between good and evil were reflective in everything you read in the news accounts on the web, national television and satellite broadcasts. The scales were so evenly balanced that it was obvious that the struggle could continue for another 1,000 years with no clear cut winner. Even with all the scientific improvements and technological advancements in today's society we could not seriously alter the fact that mankind did not possess the ability to rid itself of evil and build a world of harmony for all. So the two arch enemies forged a pact that they would finally exercise their influence and unimaginable powers to finally determine an ultimate winner. That winner was solely dependent upon one critical factor. That key factor was how man would deal with the catastrophe events that will lead them to realize that there could be only one champion to lead them through eternity. That champion would then form and shape the entire planet into both a living hell where mankind will finally understand the consequences of their ways or a place of harmony and tranquility where man can live peacefully forever.

Evil reigned under the ultimate control of Satan. He thoroughly enjoyed the fruits of his labor with his constant bombardment of world events centering on havoc, misery and destruction wherever possible. Jesus repeatedly counter punched by striving to spread peace and harmony while also trying to salvage something good from the terrible acts caused by his rival.

It seemed that with the passing of time that man seemed to relish in the fact that they lived in a world where opposites co-existed in a carefully balanced struggle between good and evil. Throughout history there has always been a presence of the "good guy" and "bad guy" and one could easily point to example upon example of their impact on the development of countries and cultures around the world.

So the two arch enemies met in the heavens. It was difficult for each to be in the presence of the other as they despised everything that each stood for. Jesus, surrounded by his disciplines, patiently waited for the arrival of Satan. His father had tried to reason with him that compromise with his arch enemy was fruitless and Jesus should let each individual be able to determine their own fate through their life on earth. God, also, feared that he would lose his son a second time and the stakes were even set much higher. The loser of this conflict would be gone forever and it frightened God that the ultimate end of this battle could be beyond the wildest dreams of any living thing. Jesus had listened to the soft words of his father and his soul was tormented each day on whether the path he had chosen was the right one. Yet the driving factor was the absolute horrors that he witnessed each day that man was committing with growing unrest and little concern to the consequences. It was this key factor that concerned him that he must do whatever possible to stop this evil.

Jesus prayed with his disciplines and asked for their guidance and support as he prepared for the arrival of Satan. Each loved him deeply and again feared for his safety as they did thousands of years ago. The horrific memories of their inability to stop the crucifixion echoed in their minds and it frightened them beyond words that this time he would be facing evil in its purest form. Over the past months it became more and more obvious at each of their meetings that Jesus was growing more determined to offer the ultimate challenge to Satan. Now the day had arrived as Jesus received confirmation that Satan would indeed meet him and determine if such a pact could be agreed upon. As they waited together they held hands to gain the inner spiritual strength to be in the same presence as Satan. They bowed their heads and silently prayed for the total salvation of mankind and the safety of their leader.

As they prayed the generating light of heaven slowly grew dim and dark, sinister looking, clouds settled above them. There were flashes of lightning and sounds of rolling thunder moving closer and closer to where they waited. Within minutes the skies lit up as if they were a gigantic fireworks display on a 4th of July night. Instantly a band of demons numbering at least three hundred ambled towards the meeting destination. They were all shapes and sizes yet each held the same facial expression of fear and agony based on their years of torment under the domination of Satan. Their faces deformed some missing eyes, lips, noses and even limbs resembled creatures from some horror movie. Some carried wooden rods to help support their deformed bodies but each one of them seemed to make a grunting sound as if each step forward was ripping them apart inside. As they grew closer the sounds coming from their mouths were gaggled and incomprehensible. Finally the disciplines could make sense to the words being repeated over and over again—"Satan is king and he will destroy you and your pathetic Jesus". They seemed hypnotized and in a deep trance guided by the presence of evil that followed the procession as if he as a conquering hero from a recent victory!

As the demons formed a semi circle directly across from Jesus and his disciplines they turned and bowed as Satan moved slowly forward. He had waited until all the demons were in position and then in all of his majestic glory and defiance that he could mustard made his way into the meeting area. He was everything and more of what the disciples had imagined. His skin was a deep, almost blood, red and clustered with scabs that appeared to pulse all over his face. At the top of his head were two horns extending at least eighteen inches from each side. The skin on his arms, legs and chest seemed to be in constant movement as if things were alive and crawling behind the surface and the smirk on his lips showed his contempt to those standing before him. He wore a dark red robe and his image seemed to be simmering in a fog of smoke that placed a ring of shadows around his body. He stood at least six feet six inches tall and was an imposing figure of pure evil.

Jesus had taken in the grand entrance of Satan and was not truly impressed. He knew that he would have not expected anything less from his rival and actually thought it was somewhat comical that he needed to put on such a display for those in attendance. Whether it was trying to strike fear into Jesus" disciplines or Jesus himself only Satan knew. It would, however, do little in the upcoming conflict to determine the one left standing when all was said and done.

Satan stood there and for a few brief seconds did not move or say a word, he simply stared directly at Jesus and then, displaying his anger and disgust in meeting his arch enemy after so many years—spit on the ground. Words of disgust spilled from his mouth as he said, "So you religious little bastard want to take me on in a winner take all battle for the total redemption and fate of mankind. I despise just being this close to you as your smell sickens me and makes me want to puke. The only pure enjoyment I could get out of winning would be the opportunities to rip your righteous heart out of your chest and feed it to these happy fellows you see standing in front of me. I will fucking destroy you but then I ask myself why? I like things just as they are since I am gaining more and more support every fucking day on earth. You are a fucking joke".

Jesus remained calm throughout the rampage and would not give Satan the personal satisfaction of showing his disgust and hatred of him at this time. There is a time and place for everything and this was not it. Jesus knew that he had to get Satan to agree to the pact and he also believed that Satan wanted it as much as he did. What just happened was just a show and an attempt by Satan to mask his true feelings. Jesus' goal was to drive an agreement without prolonging the intolerable conditions that mankind lived with each passing day. So Jesus bit his tongue and held back the fury that seemed to grow in his body with each passing moment as he negotiated with his rival on the pact. Satan on the other hand continued to openly torment Jesus throughout the negotiations and relished every moment of it. He defiantly peered at Jesus and said that you win a few and lose a few but the shear excitement of the moment when evil wins is an absolute rush and one that he would surely miss. Yet deep down inside this was the meeting that he had desired for thousandths of years. He wanted to wipe goodness from the face of the earth and then he would be in control of everything and everyone. But Satan could not miss his opportunity to further torment his arch enemy and pushed Jesus to his very limits as they neared a mutual agreement on the terms of the pact. Finally Satan peered at Jesus and told him he would take the challenge and he could not wait for him to lie defeated at his feet. He told him that you will suffer like no other man has ever suffered and he could not wait for that moment when the entire world would see him squirm and beg for mercy.

With that closing comment he told Jesus that he would accept the conditions of the pact. They each would return to earth in body form. There they would battle and the winner would eliminate the other forever and the struggle would cease. Each would use their own creative methods and means to demonstrate to the world that it was time to make a choice. With the agreement signed the heavens thundered and lightning flashed across the skies as Satan returned to the depths of hell. Jesus was satisfied with the outcome and pleased with his restraint in dealing with the outrageous insanity of Satan. He would demonstrate in his actions rather than words to Satan that he is a force to be reckoned with. He had faith in man that they would join hands and follow the path of righteousness to rid evil forever. If he was wrong he knew that he would be gone forever and mankind would be suffering ungodly consequences under the rule of Satan for eternity.

Choices—man had so many choices. They seem so easy when you think back in time and review what should have been done to prevent them. But mankind has always demonstrated an inability to act quickly and in unity against pending evil. Instead they allow it to grow until it blossoms into an uncontrollable situation that will inflict heart ache and despair to those involved.

Think back with me and look at the consequences that evolved when entire nations lead by radical fanatics caused mass chaos and the deaths of millions. Germany devastated after World War I continued to pick up the pieces throughout the following years by re-building their nation. The devastation caused by that war created a situation in Germany that led to another war twenty some odd years later. Through the constant struggles to re-build their nation they created a blame culture that persecuted the Jews for all the problems that existed in their country.

Lead by a psycho path they followed like a bunch of blood thirsty zombies and murdered and butchered millions of innocent people to satisfy their perversion. A dark society began that thrived to create a super race, a master race that would lead to world domination. It was fanatically justified in all their minds and implemented with precision in the persecution of so many people. Regardless of the consequences the masses condoned all the pain and suffering being inflicted all around them yet did nothing to stop it. They just decided to look away as millions lost their lives. This is evil at its purest form yet it was allowed to grow and flourish like a delicate flower that you nurture every day. The same situation developed in Japan when they decided to bomb Pearl Harbor on a sleepy Sunday morning in a sneak attack like nothing else ever recorded in world history. The attack dragged the United States into a world war by murdering hundreds of innocent people on that faithful day. As the war progressed, thousands more would be butchered and tortured by the Japanese to justify their superiority over other races. Rather than treat others as equals they raped, murdered, tortured and brutalized them at every opportunity. Once evil sinks its fangs into something it is like being in the grasp of a great white shark that will rip you to pieces. The sad part is that they enjoyed it. No mercy, no regrets, no pity! Only the desire to satisfy their own craving for inflicting pain and suffering on all those they come in conflict with.

Yet for every evil deed that is goodness. For each of the concentration camps that were opened there were eventually relief centers that enabled the victims to try and recover from their suffering. Cities were rebuilt and homeless children were cared for. For every soldier battling for evil there was one fighting for good and to make the world a better place. There have been religious leaders who have crusaded for the betterment of man. Individuals as Billy Graham, a gospel preacher, who touched the hearts of millions through his words and devotion to god is just one example.

So over the centuries Jesus and Satan waited for that one opportunity to take full control. And they waited. And they waited until each one knew deep down inside that the day for mankind to choose one over the other would never come to pass. It would need their intervention to come up with a resolution. Their patience had run out and they would personally take over the course of human history or end it themselves. It would be a power struggle that has never been experienced in the annuals of history; yet it was one that was necessary to end the nonsense of what man failed to accomplish without this intervention. So the conflict begins!

Chapter Two

The arrival

Jesus was the first to make his presence known. He descended from the heavens on that sun lit June Sunday morning. It was invigorating to take a deep breath of fresh air after so many years away. He had walked this earth so many years ago and it initially seemed so awkward to him to return. He had decided to arrive in a fairly isolated location that allowed him time to gather his thoughts and determine exactly how to proceed with his plan. One thing was crystal clear—he would do everything in his power to dramatically change the world forever or he would die a second time for mankind. Only this time Jesus would be gone forever in person, spirit, mind and soul—that would be the devastating consequences if he lost.

As Jesus stood there he realized how much he missed earth and the beauty of all things that were created. He shared in his father's joy of the beauty of life that was bestrode upon man and the unhappiness that it was gradually being destroyed through the selfishness and greed of those who knew better. In his limited time on earth he had relished the travels with those he loved and who had tried to protect him. Now things were very different from the sights and sounds of long ago. There will be tremendous changes that he would see with his very eyes that would surely shock and surprise him in comparison to how things were so many years ago.
