Francesca Reece grew up in Wales, and studied French with English at King's College London before moving to Paris for most of her twenties. She was the 2019 recipient of the Desperate Literature Prize for her short story 'So Long Sarajevo/They Miss You So Badly', and has had work published in the London Magazine and Elle. She now divides her time between Paris and Wales. This is her debut novel.
