The format of the book is a classroom guide design to allow the students to follow along with course content for the ATT 205/6 course given at Pima Community College in Tucson AZ. Not all of the lecture the course is in the book. It will be up to the student to make notes during the lecture. This color book has the slides used in the lecture and includes the six worksheets required for the course. This book is being made available to the public to help those technicians already working in aviation and desire to learn about avionics in a simple format that will coincide with the real world experience they might be working. This book can introduce the world of air carrier aircraft to those who wish to work for the airlines. All of the systems described in this book are required today for commercial operators.

Bruce is an NCATT Senior Instructor, who has over 30 years of avionic and maintenance experience. He received his initial avionics training while serving in the US Air Force and went on to work in the field of Air Carrier Avionics at America West Airlines and later became an A&P Mechanic and Aircraft Inspector at Southwest Airlines. After Southwest Airlines, he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Safety Inspector. After retiring from the FAA, he became an instructor at avionics program in Tucson, AZ and developed the 12 courses in the Avionics Program. In the five years since the Avionics program began, Bruce has written five textbooks and developed numerous avionics courses for professional and military organizations. The books include an NCATT AET review text and companion workbook. Bruce holds an A&P with IA, FCC GROL, NCATT AET, and a pilot's certificate Commercial Instrument with both SEL and MEL with glider and a Boeing 737 type rating.
