Charles Brunner, a Licensed Professional Engineer, specializes in environmental issues and has written more than a dozen books on the subject plus a novel, THE TUNNEL and the autobiography of his dog, LITTLE FELLA. He is a graduate of the prestigious Bronx High School of Sci-ence, and has degrees from the City College of New York and the Pennsylvania State University. He is also a life member of MENSA and won a medal in the Senior Olympics for long distance swimming in 2008. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife Claire, a teacher with degrees from New York University and the College of New Rochelle, who has taught hundreds, if not thousands, of young learning disabled children, giving them and their families a chance at a normal, productive life. He has three daughters. His youngest is the popular New York City journalist and author Jeryl Brunner. Daughter Bonnie Brodner is a political activist in Massachusetts and Renee Paratore, in Colorado, provides the speech disabled with artificial speech machines.
