This teaching guide is perfect for your "not-so-beginning" beginner ESL/EFL student who needs to improve their speaking and listening skills. It builds on students' prior knowledge of basic concepts such as greetings, the to be verb, the present simple verb tense, and school/home vocabulary, while it guides students to their next level of English skill with an emphasis on such topics as irregular verbs, the present continuous verb tense, rules for plurals, transportation/daily activities vocabulary, and more! It is a simple, easy-to-follow, chronological set of lessons with everything you need to instruct your students in the best practice methods of ESL/EFL instruction. Maximize your time with students because now there's no more need for hours and hours of planning and researching your lessons- it's all here! Just review this curriculum guide before your lesson each day, prep the materials it provides, and TEACH! With this publication, you will receive: a recommendations guide with the latest, best practice tips for teaching ESL/EFL, twenty ESL/EFL lesson plans with both new and repeating activities organized into four weeklong units, a parent notification letter, templates for vocabulary activities and grammar structures, stem conversations for students to present, games, field trips, songs (many with chords for guitar accompaniment), and read aloud activities with comprehension questions. In addition, this guide comes with a diagnostic test that will take care of your assessment needs. It is an individually administered test that places the student into one of three levels based on their responses- it also comes with a scoring key and guide. Appropriate for ages 8 to adult. IMPORTANT NOTICE- This book contains some repetition in its activities from day to day. The reason for this is that language learning requires repetition and consistency in order to master vocabulary and grammar concepts. Thus, you'll find both new and repeating activities in each lesson plan of this guide.
