Wendell Charles Christopher Callender, a former Barbados National Essay Competition winner, is Principal/Director of Caribbean Training Institute and a freelance journalist with the Nation Publishing Co.Ltd. He has tutored students in Human Relations & Business Etiquette, Effective Public Speaking, Customer Service, Marketing, and Business for over two decades. Callender is a former Member of Parliament and Chairman of Committees of the Barbados House of Assembly. He has served as a Director of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce, General Secretary of the Caribbean Association of Industry & Commerce and President of the Barbados National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations. He has also worked as a Marketing and Public Relations Officer of the Barbados Tourism Authority, Executive Director of the Barbados Manufacturers' Association and Principal of the Co-operative High School. Mr. Callender was educated at Boys' Foundation, Harrison College and the University of the West Indies. Other publications by Callender include 'Prime Ministers of Barbados.
