Richard L. Wren started writing novels at age 82, after retiring from a successful insurance career. His first novel was published CASEY’S SLIP in 2010, and has had a screenplay adapted from it which is now in marketing. His second novel, JOSHUA’S REVENGE, came out in 2012, and the third, JUSTICE FOR JOSHUA, in 2014 (at age 89). Along the way, he wrote and published an earlier version of SELF-PUBLISHING: IT AIN'T ROCKET SCIENCE. All of his books, and the forthcoming novel Murder Made Legal: A Casey & Smitty Mystery, have been published using the methods in this book. All are published under his Poor Richard Publishers company banner. Mr. Wren, a lifelong resident of Oakland and fourth generation Californian, recently moved to Lafayette, CA, where he lives with his patient wife Betty. He has been the subject of TV pieces and newspaper articles as a great example of reinvention in retirement years. Wren is a great example of someone who has reinvented himself and his career – especially so late in life. He’s also a model for would-be novelists, both old and young LOYD AUERBACH, M.S. (Parapsychology), Director of the Office of Paranormal Investigations and President of the Forever Family Foundation, has been in the field for over 35 years focusing on education and field investigation. The author of 9 books including The Ghost Detectives’ Guide to Haunted San Francisco, co-authored with the late renowned psychic Annette Martin. His latest release is ESP WARS: East and West, covering the psychic spying programs of the US and Soviet Union/Russia, co-authored by Dr. Edwin C.
