Vanessa's Rotten Day is a whimsical tale that is based on a true animal rescue story. Roberta R. Carr lives in Novato, California. She had an enjoyable career in health care before leaving to become a full-time writer. She has self-published three novels: The Vernazza Effect (2013), The Foundation (2014), and The Bennett Women (2015). Collaborating with her granddaughter to write Vanessa' Rotten Day was a labor of love. Currently, she is working on a sequel to The Bennett Women. She enjoys math, science, and writing. Gymnastics is her favorite sport. She adores looming, and has completed many creative projects. She likes having her grandmother pick her up after school every Wednesday. They often hang out at Double Rainbow to eat ice cream and talks about all kinds of things. Collette loves having her Golden Retriever, Ruby, greet her at the end of a busy day.
