David D. Tipton, Jr. was elected in April 2009 as the Superintendent for the Mississippi District United Pentecostal Church International. Prior to becoming Superintendent, he served in various ministerial capacities. He has been an Assistant Pastor, Pastor, State Director of North American Missions and Promotions Director for North American Missions of the UPCI. Reverend Tipton was born in Port St. Joe, Florida. He and his wife, Gwen, have four children: sons- Devonn, Damon, and Matthew and daughter, Rachel. They have ten grandchildren.
