Life may put us in front of unexpected turns. This is what happens to our protagonist, who suddenly finds herself owning an item that is going to change her future forever. Did she really choose, or was she unwittingly swept away by the events? And where will her fate lead her? In the smoky London of 1800, you will be led by the hand on the tracks of a gruesome legend. "Oh, my God" is a short horror story. This story was born by my great desire to create something along with Marco, with whom I played and talked for many years before starting the literary adventure that is still on its way. I have to thank him, because he kindly lent his help to give a voice to the Countess of Cheshire, and he was able to make her report melancholy and drenched by the fog and smog of old London, The story, with the exception of the epilogue, is all in first-person narrative, as dictated by the great Edgar Allan Poe, from whom we both took inspiration. Our goal was to write a story that could drag the reader in the grim atmosphere of Jack the Ripper. We hope we succeeded.

Melania Soriani was born in Rome and has been living on the coast of Versilia for a dozen years. She's graduate and works in a local public institution. Socially committed, she promoted and organized events for the third sector and also managed fundraising. She attended courses at a theater drama school and attained a degree as dubbing actor under Director Mario Maldesi of Cine Video Doppiatori in Rome. Very sensitive to social themes, to which she always devoted time in her life, after a long hiatus she started cultivating again her passion for writing. Planning stories has always been her secret aspiration, and she fulfilled her wish by starting to write a fantasy novel and several non-genre short stories, and stories for children, as yet unpublished She attended a creative writing course at Dumas School and a workshop focused on “Writing emotions” at Palomar School in Rovigo. Her short story “Ladri di Lapidi” won in 2016 the IV National Award for Contemporary Italian Literature organized by Laura Capone Editore. Soon to be published her children book “Traveling with Amir”, which profits will be entirely devoted to charity. She is an avid reader and appreciates almost any kind of narrative, especially genre fiction.
