These are some of the "best of" scriptures, all compiled into one volume. It's a great way to start a study of the gospel. With 24 framable scriptures to color and ponder, this is a great investment.

Some ideas for use? Sacrament meeting! Young Women's camp! Gifting to a missionary/care package (and what's great is you can ship directly from Amazon to your missionary)! Class enrichment! We have even cut some of the pages out, painted them, and then framed them. We also feature a scripture of the week- it's a great way to create a focal point and a reminder for the entire family.

For more ideas on coloring, visit austiebost.net. There are also background stories to most of the illustrations (for example, 2 Nephi 4:5, while a wonderful verse, was created by accident)! The blog will also feature illustrations to upcoming volumes and editions.

Back Cover:
As a people, Latter-day Saints have been challenged to ponder scriptures, to become familiar with them, and to memorize them. Elder Scott, in the October 2011 general conference said, “Learning, pondering, searching, and memorizing scriptures is like filling a filing cabinet with friends, values, and truths that can be called upon any time, anywhere in the world. Great power comes from memorizing scriptures. To memorize a scripture is to forge a new friendship.”

Scripture study is a personal process, and the call to learn, ponder, search, and memorize can be daunting! In the 1990s, see through scripture stickers made for a colorful scripture reading experience, but the project was limited, certainly not providing a creative, contemplative experience.

Scripture Journaling is one of the newest ways to involve creativity into the study and memorization process. Bible journaling within mainstream Christianity has been around for a while, and now the trend is spreading and expanding!

As coloring books for adults are becoming a huge business, it’s natural to begin coloring for spiritual edification! This burgeoning niche fits the study model well by spending quality time pondering a single verse or line at a time. It also allows for an artistic outlet, going over the words with mind and markers.

When your scripture journaling is complete, the end result is a beautiful, physical, personal representation of the your study.
