The author took his first flying lesson in a 1,200 pound, two seat, 108 horsepower, single engine Piper Colt in Sept-1964. Nine months later he was hired by the Flying Tiger Airline as a very inexperienced First Officer on a 75 ton, 13,400 horsepower, four engined Lockheed Constellation. Over the course of a 40 year,15,000 hour career, he spent 23 years with a major US airline, 7 years with a startup airline and 5 years as a King Air corporate pilot. There were also numerous short lived adventures including night freight, and banner towing. At various times he served as a Flight Engineer, First Officer, Captain, Check Captain and Chief Pilot. This is the author's first novel.
