Riassunto

Well-known former dog editor of Field & Stream, J. Horace Lytle, relates a wealth of dog wisdom in this series of short pieces. His emphasis on a "natural" bond between a bird dog and handler is best summed up by his piece "A Boy and a Dog:" "If you don't quite grasp this, get your boy to explain it. He'll know." Point! was originally published by The Derrydale Press in 1941 and continues to be a comprehensive introduction to bird dogs of all kinds. It covers breeds, training, retrieving, scenting, teaching to point, and the subtle but essential approach to developing intimacy with a dog.
