Something for the Girls

Pink Lady

1 oz. gin

1/2 oz. applejack

White of one egg

Juice of 1/2 lime

Couple dashes of Grenadine, strawberry syrup or raspberry syrup Shake vigorously with cracked ice. Strain. Sprig of mint optional decoration.

Something for the Boys

Brainstorm

1/4 French Vermouth

1/4 benedictine

1/2 best rye whiskey

Stir well with ice and float orange peel on top.

Beer Cheese Cake

1 pound cream cheese

4 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp. flour

3 ounces currants - raisins

1 cup beer

grated rind of 1 lemon

Rub the cheese through a sieve - add the eggs, sugar and other ingredients. Line an 8 x 3 pan with ordinary pie dough. Spread the mixture evenly in the pan and bake in a medium hot oven for 1 1/2 hours.
