Multilayer Switching Companion Guide details the Cisco switching methodology in the context of core, distribution, and access layer deployments, presenting the common switching technologies in an easily understood format. The Companion Guide then ensures mastery of Cisco Catalyst switch configuration within a corporation campus environment by walking learners through the various algorithms used between the devices. Descriptive, well-ordered, pictorial explanations of the inner-workings of spanning tree, multicasting, MLS, and HSRP technologies, help the implementation of the technologies fall right into place. The Companion Guide's margin notes, warnings, tech notes, chapter summaries, review questions, and lab questions reinforce these concepts and more.
