Sinossi
Python is a powerful, general purpose, programming language that is aimed especially at beginners. Ideas translate so quickly to the computer that Python has been called "programming at the speed of thought." It even has a unique, interpreted mode, which offers immediate feedback and can fundamentally accelerate how a beginner learns the language, allowing him or her to test out new ideas or look for help almost instantly. Even though Python is perfect for beginners, it has all the power and flexibility one would expect from a modern, object-oriented programming language, including modules, exceptions, dynamic typing, very high level dynamic data types, garbage collection, and classes. Plus, Python works everywhere. It runs on everything from a Palm to a Cray. Any computer that can run C can run Python, including Windows, DOS, Mac or Linux machines. In addition, Python is absolutely free and open source.
