What test should you take?One competitive test for future math majors is the advanced placement Calculus test, however, many excellent students augment that with the SAT Math 2 test to show further interest in this specialty.High school students who did not have the AP experience are encouraged to take the SAT Math 2 test if their intended college requires it. It will have a stronger component of algebra and functions and precalculus. However, if you are looking to save both money on tuition and fast track through some of the easier biology courses you are encouraged to take the CLEP Algebra test which offers by far the easiest three college credits which are accepted at currently 2,900 colleges. CLEP Precalculus is also another way to avoid tuition costs and leap frog to more advanced courses plus earn those three credits!What s inside?All the same topics that are on SAT Math 1 are on SAT Math 2. The weighting is stronger 50% Algebra rather than 40%, with less emphasis on Geometry in SAT Math 2. You will also have a little trigonometry on this test. Last, you once again will see data analysis, statistics and probability on the test and in the XAMonline detailed study guide. Two full length sample tests give accurate opportunities to blend your learning with the text content and then test a second time to keep on pace.
