Hippie Come Home is the account of Steve Drake s life journey from hippie to pastor. The son of a Christian plumber and a waitress mother, Steve grew up as a youngster with very little self-esteem. With little tutelage from his parents, he scored poorly in school and set a pattern for failure that would follow him until his early twenties.Having abandoned the faith of his family, Steve s life spiraled into a declining road to nowhere. His father later told him, Son, I used to lie in bed with your mother at night and say, Evelyn, that boy will never make it; he ll never make it. Robert (Bob) D. Miller has a passion for local church ministry and reaching communities. He has been involved in ministry as an Executive Pastor, University Professor, and Executive Officer since 1979. He has four earned degrees (B.S., M.Ed., Ph.D., D.Min.).He and his wife, Debi (since 1982) live in Central Virginia at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They have four adult daughters, three sons-in-law and a grandson.
