Ruby White is a freelance writer with a great interest in the mind, body, spirit connection. She comes from a family of book lovers. As long as she can remember, Ruby has had an appreciation for the written word. After earning a degree in English from the University of Houston, Ruby moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked for many years as a writer, editorial assistant, and researcher. “When I’m not reading or writing, I’m paper-crafting,” Ruby said. Ruby’s fascination with paper extends beyond the love of books. She makes and designs greeting cards and journals. Ruby enjoys origami (the art of paper folding), kirigami (the art of paper cutting and folding), and upcycles unused or surplus wallpaper to create paper wallets and purses for children. She has also admitted to being a foodie and a cooking enthusiast. Ruby feels there are very few things better than sharing a great meal with family and friends. Ruby lives in Austin, Texas.
