Maureen McBrien is a partner and family law practitioner at Brick, Jones, McBrien, & Hickey LLP in Newton, Massachusetts. She focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, including divorce, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, modification and contempt actions, and paternity and custody actions. Her practice also includes litigation related to legal issues arising from the use of assisted reproductive technology.

Bruce Hale is a solo practitioner in Newton, Massachusetts. His practice, Modern Family Law, is focused exclusively on matters related to assisted reproduction. Bruce has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Suffolk University Law School and Northeastern University School of Law, teaching the law of assisted reproduction technology at both institutions
