With intel that the Viet Cong could have hidden access to the Marine Air Field and could destroy the Squadrons of F-4 Fighters along with numerous UH-1 Hueys and CH30 Chinook helicopters, Major Kawaski assigned 2nd Lieutenant Muser to pick a platoon.
