Each of the co-authors has written an essay offering life perspectives as food for thought. Bernard Mansheim is a retired physician, board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. His career spanned academic medicine, private practice, and medical management. He is the author of several novels.Phil Haworth has a PhD in biochemistry and a law degree. He has worked as a scientist, business development expert, and CEO in a specialty pharmaceutical company. He has volunteered his expertise in the STEM fields with high-school students for over twenty years.Douglas Smith has a PhD in geophysics and is a retired professor of geology and geophysics. He and a partner developed a successful geological consulting company for over three decades.
