The CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator) Exam Question Bank contains 500 practice questions. The CCRC Question Bank is a companion volume to the CCRC Exam Study Guide. While the exam workbook contains questions on various topics the study guide provides the didactic material that underlies the questions. For effective exam preparation the two volumes should be studied together. Over 500 practice questions are included in this workbook. The questions are heavily directed toward the study material indicated in the ACRP guidance for the exam. Accordingly ICH guidelines are heavily emphasized. Particular attention has been paid to ICH GCP guidelines (E6) which seem to be prominent in the exam. Some other features of the book are worth noting. A section on situational analysis has been included. This section contains computational questions on budgets, eligibility analysis, simple pharmacokinetics, and laboratory based testing, which are commonly encountered in clinical situations by clinical research coordinators. Also emphasized are ambiguous actions that the CRC may have to take in particular situations which arise in clinical trials. The sections on unanticipated events, protocol deviations, DSMB and elements of informed consent contain situational questions encountered in clinical trials. A small section on FDA regulated studies has been included. This is not emphasized in the exam but was retained in the book as an educational component for CRCs who have to work with FDA regulated studies. The CRC studying for this exam is under pressure. Arduous work schedules make studying for the exam difficult. It is not possible to pay equal attention to all topics of interest. For this reason the topics are marked by degree of possible importance for the exam with the most important being given a rating of (****) and those of the least importance have been designated with a rating of (*).The author wishes all CRCs the very best for their career development.
