A collection of poems which evoke a range of emotions for the reader. Phil Wood has an ability to tell a story not only with humour, feeling, and his unique viewpoints but to also tell it in rhyme. This book is a mere snapshot of the vast catalogue of Phil's works but it contains childhood recollections, witty observations and an insight into Phil's experiences of the world and society in general. Many of Phil's poems have been published in local newspapers and read out on BBC Radio Merseyside. The book contains a foreword from BBC's Linda McDermott who has been one of many to enjoy Phil's contributions over the years. Phil Wood has been known locally as The Wallasey Bard and The Wirral Poet as he is renowned locally for entertaining people wherever he goes. Sometimes with humour, sometimes with a twist of emotion but always with an admiration for his clever writing style.
