In Book three, Everly’s quest to find her biological family comes to a dismal end when her only living relative, a cousin who lives in a castle on North York Moor, refuses to believe her claim. Struggling not to give in to more self-doubt as both hope and dreams seem to crumble, she turns her attention to helping some of the people in Whitby who have offered her kindness and support, including the new vicar at St. Mary’s who is always there when she needs him. But her heart still belongs to the charismatic and talented Theo Rowe, despite the fact that he hasn’t contacted her since the night he decided she wasn’t the only who needed time for self-exploration.
While Essie is making plans to marry Dr. Daniel Davis, Everly must decide if she has the courage to continue her journey or simply return to the states in defeat. But fate seems to have other plans as she is drawn into what the local parishioners call a miracle, meets someone from her grandfather’s past and continues to learn truths about herself and others that she didn’t see coming. It was a different journey than the one she had envisioned but the outcome might just be worth every risk she has taken.
