Therefore, we all demonstrate our unique characteristics, our idiosyncrasies to the world forgetting that while we may be different, we are all still the same in the universe. self-esteem was extremely low, and were it not for books like this that I could read in private and learn that I was not alone in my struggles; there are people who actually care; resources are readily available to accommodate my needs, and all I had to do was to reach out and trust that a process was already in place to help me to step out of the shadows of shame, guilt, fear and lack.
