Sinossi

Tulip and the Tidepool is a summer-themed story of inclusion, protection and adventure. Tulip, our non-gender specific hero, opens the story with an an early morning stroll along the sea shore, where they find a rock full of large holes. Just as they peek inside to say "Hello," a wave sweeps Tulip and the rock into a nearby tide pool. There they are welcomed into a cozy haven of diverse inhabitants including a family of sea snails, a sponge, barnacles and urchins. Soon the wind picks up and a storm begins to brew on the horizon, bringing even more sea creatures into a now very crowded tide pool. How will everyone work together quickly to make room for all before the storm arrives on shore?

Informazioni sugli autori

Niki Rainwater is a certified Waldorf Early Childhood educator who also holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from California State University, Sacramento. She is an advocate for classrooms in nature, surrounded by forests, rivers, creeks and good trees in whose branches children can climb! Niki has taught for 17 years in two wonderfully magical Waldorf schools, in two states as both an assistant and as a lead teacher.

Taylor Blacklock is a multi-media artist whose work is a creative interpretation of the adventures she's had and places she's been, loved, and loved. She creates art from her own personal experience as she believes it is important to have one's own perspective on your subject! While landscapes are Taylor's specialty, she has recently found she also enjoys making simple studies of individual plants and animals. The mediums she works with are acrylic, watercolor, and digital illustration. She loves color! Taylor has also experimented with photography and printmaking.
