John Wagner has been scripting for 2000 AD for more years than he cares to remember. His creations include Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Ace Trucking, Al’s Baby, Button Man and Mean Machine. Outside of 2000 AD his credits include Star Wars, Lobo, The Punisher and the critically acclaimed A History of Violence.

Cam Kennedy is another hugely popular 2000 AD artist, having illustrated many Judge Dredd strips and co-created luckless wannabe creator Kenny Who? and the Taxidermist. A key early Rogue Trooper artist, he has also drawn Batman/Judge Dredd: Vendetta in Gotham, Judge Dredd, Tharg the Mighty, Tharg’s Future Shocks, and The V.C.’s. His extracurricular work includes Axel Pressbutton, Batman, Lobo, Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Star Wars.. Paul Marshall co-created The Corps and Firekind, and has also pencilled Judge Dredd, Mean Machine, One-Offs, Sinister Dexter, Tharg’s Future Shocks, Tyranny Rex and Vector 13. His other work can be seen in Harris Comics’ Avalon.. Patrick Goddard’s clean art style has graced many strips in the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic. Co-creator of the Megazine series Wardog, he has penciled Judge Dredd, Mean Machine, Middenface McNulty, Sinister Dexter and took over the art duties on Savage from Charlie Adlard.. John Burns’ painted art has graced several 2000 AD series, notably Judge Dredd and Nikolai Dante, as well in as his own co-creation, The Bendatti Vendetta. He has also contributed to Black Light, Doctor Sin, The Scarlet Apocrypha, Vector 13 and Witchworld. Outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, he has pencilled Eclipse’s ESPers and the James Bond miniseries, A Silent Armageddon.. Charlie Adlard made his debut pencilling Judge Dredd in the eponymous Megazine; since then, he’s also illustrated Armitage and Judge Hershey in the Meg, and Judge Dredd, Nikolai Dante, Pulp Sci-Fi and Rogue Trooper in 2000 AD. His most recent work for the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic is the official sequel to Invasion!, the hard-hitting Savage. Beyond 2000 AD, Adlard has illustrated, Astronauts in Trouble, Codeflesh, DC/Wildstorm’s The Establishment, Shadowman, The X-Files, The Walking Dead and the graphic novels White Death and Rock Bottom.. One of 2000 AD’s best-loved and most honoured artists, Ian Gibson is responsible for the co-creation of The Ballad of Halo Jones (with Alan Moore), and created Bella Bagley, an unfortunate character in Judge Dredd’s world who fell head-over-heels in love with ‘Old Stoney Face’ himself! His work outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic includes Chronicles of Genghis Grimtoad, Star Wars: Boba Fett, X-Men Unlimited, plus the designs for the TV series Reboot.. Dean Ormston’s otherworldly pencils first graced the Megazine, where he contributed to the epic Judge Dredd Judgement Day saga, and pencilled the popular Raptaur. He is the co-creator of antique oddities Harke and Burr, and has also pencilled Heavy Metal Dredd, Judge Death, Missionary Man, Strange Cases, Tales of Telguuth. Ormston’s other non-2000 AD work includes The Crow, The Invisibles, The Monarchy, Sandman and the DC/Vertigo series Lucifer and The Books of Magick. He also worked on character designs for the animated CGI series Reboot.. Carlos Ezquerra was the co-creator of Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Rat Pack, Major Eazy and many other fan-favourite characters, he designed the classic original Dredd costume as well as visually conceptualising Mega-City One. In addition to these credits he also illustrated A.B.C. Warriors, Judge Anderson, Tharg the Mighty, and Cursed Earth Koburn amongst many other stories. Outside of the ‘Galaxy’s Greatest Comic’, Ezquerra illustrated the first Third World War episodes in Crisis magazine, and became a regular collaborator with Garth Ennis, working on Adventures in the Rifle Brigade, Bloody Mary, Just a Pilgrim, Condors, The Magnificent Kevin and two special Preacher episodes. He died in 2018 but his profound influence on the world of comic art cannot be overstated.. John Higgins is a multi-talented 2000 AD artist and writer; as well as scripting a Future Shock and Judge Dredd, Higgins has illustrated Chopper, Freaks, One-Offs, Tharg the Mighty and Time Twisters. His work outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic is also highly respected, and he has contributed to some of the most important series of recent times, including working as a colourist on the modern superhero classic Watchmen, and on Vertigo’s Animal Man, Hellblazer and Pride and Joy.
