Sinossi
Appena trasferito in un nuovo appartamento, solo per la prima volta da anni, Victor Forde va ogni sera al pub Donnelly per una pinta, una lenta. Una sera il suo drink viene interrotto. Un uomo in pantaloncini e maglietta rosa porta la sua pinta e si siede. Sembra conoscere il nome di Victor e ricordarsene dai tempi della scuola. Dice che si chiama Fitzpatrick. Victor lo detesta a prima vista, detesta anche i ricordi che Fitzpatrick suscita di cinque anni passati a insegnare dai Fratelli Cristiani. Roddy Doyle was born in Dublin in 1958. He is the author of twelve acclaimed novels including The Commitments, The Snapper, The Van and Smile, two collections of short stories, and Rory & Ita, a memoir about his parents. He won the Booker Prize in 1993 for Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha.
