His debut novel, We Are Monsters, was released in July 2015 and was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award (R) for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. Jesse Wheeler disappeared a couple of years ago, just after playing a reunion gig with his band, The Rising Dead. Rumor has it he had just finished reading a book like the one youre holding now.
