Will Maclean RSA, Professer of Painting in the University of Dundee, is one of the outstanding Scottish artists of his generation. He was born in Inverness where his father was harbor master, and he spent his childhood between Inverness and Skye. Duncan Macmillan is Curator of the Talbot Rice Gallery and Professor of the History of Scottish Art in the University of Edinburgh. He is also principal art critic of The Scotsman. He has written widely on Scottish and European art and his book, Scottish Art 1460-1990, won the Saltire Award for Scottish Book of the Year in 1990.
